Nearby dogs and shared walks

Gather your pack

Awuu shows which dogs are nearby and helps you agree on a walk or a meetup.

Why Awuu?

Dogs are pack animals

Awuu helps you find that pack close by — safely.

Socialisation

Puppies need dog friends

The first months decide how a dog relates to other dogs for the rest of its life. Puppy meetups with friends of the same age are a great way to learn that the world is full of nice dogs. Awuu makes it easy to find the right playmates for a puppy.

Friends

After puppyhood

Stay in touch with the friends you made as a puppy, or find new ones. Introducing young and adult dogs can be tricky, but with Awuu you can agree on a neutral spot where nobody feels they have to defend their territory.

Warnings

Word about hazards travels

The hazard map shows things like blue-green algae at a swimming spot or glass on a trail as soon as someone reports them. If a dog friend goes missing, sightings can be added to the map, and each one is shared with dog owners nearby.

How it works

Three steps to the first meetup

A dog profile in Awuu

Step 01

Create your dog’s profile

Tell us the breed, age, size and temperament. The profile tells others what kind of friend your dog is.

  • One photo is enough to start
  • Personality tags help find matching friends
  • Your exact location is never shown to others

Step 02

See who’s nearby

The list shows nearby dogs and how far away they are. Browse the map, too.

  • Distance is shown for every dog
  • Filter by size, age and activity
  • Map or list — whichever suits you

Step 03

Agree on a meetup

Suggest a time and a place. Messages are end-to-end encrypted, and after the walk photos go into the event’s own gallery.

  • Create an event with one or more friends
  • The group chat handles the practical details
  • Share photos to the gallery and tag friends on Instagram

After the meetup

Photos saved, friends tagged

Every event has its own photo gallery where participants add photos from the meetup. With an Instagram handle on the profile, tagging friends in your own posts is easy.

Photo gallery

Event photos in one place

Participants add photos to the event gallery, and everyone who was there can see them.

Instagram

Tag friends and dogs

Add your Instagram handle to your profile so walking buddies can find you and tag your dog in their posts.

Map

Distance decides

A meetup happens when another dog is within the distance you set. Awuu shows nearby dogs on a map and tells you how far they are — no endless scrolling, just the friends who are actually close.

  • You see each other when you’re within the same radius
  • Agree on the meetup together
  • The event is visible to everyone within the radius
