Data Deletion

You can delete your Awuu account and all data associated with it at any time. This also applies to accounts created with Google, Apple, or Facebook sign-in.
Delete your account in the app
- Open the Awuu app and go to the Profile view.
- Open the Account tab.
- Select Delete account and confirm the deletion.
The deletion permanently removes:
- your user account and profile
- your dog profile
- images (profile photos, event cover images, photos you uploaded to event galleries, and chat images)
- conversations
- event participations
- your danger alerts, sightings, and their photos
- your blocks and feedback
Note: the deletion is final and the data cannot be restored afterwards.
Exceptions: moderation reports you made or that were made about you are retained as a handling history without user identifiers. Event photos already published on Awuu's social media accounts with your permission are not removed automatically; request their removal from info@awuu.app.
An event you organise that has other participants is not deleted: the organiser role passes to the next participant in order of joining, and the event's details and any cover image you uploaded yourself are kept under the new organiser without any link to your account. The messages you sent are also deleted from these events' group chats. If there are no other participants, the event is deleted.
Alternative: request deletion by email
If you cannot sign in to the app, you can request account deletion by sending an email to privacy@awuu.app from the email address the account was created with. Deletion requests are handled within 30 days.
